SMS

SMS verification is one of the most common ways to verify your user. Thanks to the AWS SNS, it becomes easier than ever to send a verification SMS message to the user and gets a result.

The Automatic SMS plugin can be found at the plugins section of your exchange admin panel.

The Automatic SMS plugin requires an AWS IAM credentials with the AWS SNS access. You could provide the details here.

You should make an IAM policy for an IAM user you are going to use for the SMS. You could create a new policy at AWS IAM Console - Access management - Policies page.

{
"Version": "2012-10-17",
"Statement": [
{
"Effect": "Deny",
"Action": [
"sns:Publish"
],
"Resource": "arn:aws:sns:*:*:*"
},
{
"Effect": "Allow",
"Action": [
"sns:Publish"
],
"Resource": "*"
}
]
}

Now, go to the AWS IAM Console - Access management - Users page to create a new user for SMS connection. You will be able to bind the policy that you just created above to this new account.

Get those access key id and secret access key once the account is created.

Now, go back to the plugins sms configuration page of your exchange, and input the credentials you got.

The region should follow the region code of AWS.

Once it's all set, you'll see a "Phone Verification" menu at the "Verification" section.

Happy Trading!
